Abstract

Low energyhousesareformsofhousingthatuselessenergyfrom the design,technologiesandbuildingproductsfromanysource than atraditionaloraveragecontemporaryhouse.Thesurvey dataset examinesarchitect'sawarenessandadoptionofbuilding envelopetechnologies(BET)forenergyefficient housinginLagos State,Nigeria.Thedatasetwasbasedonseventy-four(74)returned questionnairesofbothregisteredandnon-registeredArchitects. A multistagesamplingthatinvolvedclustersamplingandrandom sampling ofarchitectsinLagosStatewasadopted.Descriptive statistical toolswereusedtopresentthedataset.Thedataset contains theintentofpromotingenergysustainabilitybyarchitect while designingtheirbuildingenvelopes,theawarenessofthe building envelopestrategiestoadopt,factorsinfluencing their adoption ofthesestrategies,strategiesthatcanbeadoptedto improveadoptionofbuildingenvelopetechnologiesforenergy efficiency inhousingunits.Thedatasetcanbeusedforevolving housing energypolicybydecisionmakers.
