Abstract
Thephenomenonofinternaldisplacementhasalwaysexisted.Ithow- everbecamethesubjectofsignificantconcernfortheinternational communitysinceafterWorldWar2,withtheviolationofthehuman rights ofthedisplacedarisingmostlyfromtheintensification ofintra- statewarsaroundtheworld.Thearticlepresentedanintegrateddataon theproblemsofforceddisplacement andadoptedcopingstrategies among displacedwomeninselectedIDPscampsinNigeria.Thestudy used aqualitativeapproachwithadescriptivesurveytoexplainthe majorproblemsofforceddisplacement.Thepopulationincluded womenandfocusgroupdiscussion(FGD)guidewasadoptedtoelicit responsesfromthestudypopulation.Datawasdescribedwiththeuse of a3-DChartandthedata-setisbroadlyavailableforfurtherinvesti- gation.The findings identified lackofadequatecareand financiallackas the majorchallengesaffectingdisplacedwomenwhileeconomic opportunitieswasthemostsignificant copingstrategy.Itwasrecom- mendedthatgovernmentandinterveninghumanitarianagencieswill consistentlyadoptreliablelegalandinstitutionalframeworkforthe management ofinternaldisplacementanddisplacedvictimsinNigeria
