Abstract
The paper showed information sources that most provided HIV/AIDS information to 80 salonists in Irepodun Local Government Area of kwara State Nigeria. The study established the level of awareness of various media of HIV/AIDS transmission among salonists, how the salonists' socio-demographic characteristics explained the use of the sources as well as investigate precautionary methods adopted by salonists aimed at reducing transmission of HIV/AIDS among customers. The result showed that friends, radio, television and hospitals were the most frequently used sources. The results also showed that most of the salonists have adopted at least one form of the measures that could reduce the transmission of the disease.
