Abstract

In thisdataarticle,theKeyPerformanceIndicators(KPIs)for Quality ofService(QoS)ofGlobalSystemforMobileCommu- nications (GSM)networksinNigeriaareprovidedandanalyzed. The dataprovidedinthispapercontaintheCallSetupSuccessRate (CSSR), DropCallRate(DCR),Stand-aloneDedicatedChannel (SDCCH) congestion,andTraffic Channel(TCH)congestionforthe four GSMnetworkoperatorsinNigeria(Airtel,Etisalat,Glo,and MTN). ThesecomprehensivedatawereobtainedfromtheNigerian Communications Commission(NCC).Significant differencesin each oftheKPIsforthefourquartersofeachyearwerepresented based onAnalysisofVariance(ANOVA).ThevaluesoftheKPIs wereplottedagainstthemonthsoftheyearforbettervisualization and understandingofdatatrendsacrossthefourquarters.Multiple comparisons ofthemean-quarterlydifferencesoftheKPIswere also presentedusingTukey'sPostHoctest.Publicavailabilityand further interpretationanddiscussionoftheseusefulinformation will assistthenetworkproviders,Nigeriangovernment,localand international regulatorybodies,policymakers,andotherstake- holders inensuringaccessofpeople,machines,andthingstohigh qualitytelecommunicationsservices
