Abstract

The inclusion of green life promotes human health and assists in healing, yet despite this understanding, there is a dearth of landscape design in fine dining restaurants in Lagos. As a result, the purpose of this research is to create an ecologically friendly fine dining restaurant with ambient landscape features and elements to establish a pleasant and healthy eating environment and culture for users. A mixed-mode research technique was used in this study. The qualitative data were obtained using an observation schedule, while the quantitative data were collected using a well-structured questionnaire. The IBM SPSS 21 programme was used to analyze the data collected, and the results were presented with the use of appropriate pictures, words, and diagrammes. According to the findings of this study, the majority of fine dining restaurants in Lagos do not include excellent landscape features in their designs. As a result, this study proposes that fine dining establishments include landscape design features and elements that would improve clients' health and eating experience. The findings of this study suggest that restaurants should pay close attention to the landscape design components in their structures, implying the need to enhance knowledge, awareness, and designs. The recommendation based on the study's findings is that designs should take into account the advantages and relevance of landscape features in the design of a fine dining restaurant.
