Abstract
Literature suggest the potentials of plants in enhancing housing environmental quality. Nigeria is endowed with a variety of vegetation. However, many housing projects have failed to incorporate them in their schemes. This paper thus investigates this theme and identifies with illustration the various ways plants may be used to reduce reliance on mechanical energy in buildings while improving the environmental quality of homes.
