Abstract
Self-help construction of houses is a well known method of building development. However, due to lack of expertise and resources, resulting buildings may be fraught with challenges. Organised self-help strategies are ways of assisting individuals in the development of their houses by providing technical support, including training. This manual has been developed as a guide for technical staff involved in the management of organised self-help housing projects in Nigeria
