A. creator: Emetere, Moses subject: Q Science (General) subject: QC Physics description: In this article, the heavy metals in soils for agricultural activitieswere analyzed statistically. Ten (10) soil samples were randomlytaken across the agricultural zones in Odo-Oba, southwesternNigeria. Ten (10) metals; namely: copper (Cu), lead (Pb), chromium(Cr), arsenic (As), zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), nickel (Ni), antimony(Sb), cobalt (Co) and vanadium (V) were determined and comparedwith the guideline values. When the values were compared withthe international standard, none of the heavy metals in the studyarea exceeded the threshold limit. However, the maximum rangeof the samples showed that Cr and V exceeded the permissiblelimit which could be associated with ecological risk. The data canreveal the distributions of heavy metals in the agricultural topsoilof Odo-Oba, and can be used to estimate the risk. The data can reveal the distributions of heavy metals in the agricultural topsoil of Odo-Oba, and can be used to estimate the risks associated with the consumption of crops grown on such soils. date: 2018 type: Article type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf language: en identifier: http://eprints.covenantuniversity.edu.ng/13604/1/1-s2.0-S2352340918304682-main.pdf identifier: Adagunodo, T.
