Abstract
The articlepresentedanintegrateddataontalentmanagement practices andinnovationperformanceofacademicstaffina technology-drivenprivateuniversityinNigeria.Thestudyadopted a quantitativeapproachwithasurveyresearchdesigntoestablish the majordeterminantsoftalentmanagementpractices.The population ofthisstudyincludedacademicstaffandtheuseof questionnairewasadoptedtoelicitfromthestudypopulation. Data wasanalysedwiththeuseofstructuralequationmodelling and the field datasetismadewidelyaccessibletoenablecriticalor a morecomprehensiveinvestigation.The findings identified talent development andretentionstrategiesaspredictorsforfacilitating innovationperformanceinthesampleUniversity.Itwasrecom- mended thatmanagementofthesampleduniversitywillcon- sistentlyneedtoadoptreliablerangeofstrategiestoattractand retain peopleforexcellenceperformance
