Abstract

Organizations in the 21st century work in a volatile environment marked by fierce competition, globalization, increased consumer expectations and needs, a focus on value creation, and the growth of performance related challenges. This study aimed to determine the stance of supply chain management and business performance in post-covid 19 lockdown era. The study sort to find out how certain variables of supply chain management enhance and influence business performance in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. For the purpose of this study, the non-probabilistic sampling technique was used. Specifically, the purposive sampling was used to gain reliable data through the administration of a comprehensive questionnaire to the staff of Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Company. A total of 120 copies of the questionnaire were shared but only 115 were valid for analysis. The analysis was done using regression analysis to test the hypothesis using SMART_PLS and Statistical package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for the descriptive analysis. The finding of the study suggested a significant relationship between all supply chain management variables and that of business performance. The most important aspect of every business is to deliver valuable products or services that suit the needs of consumers. One of the best ways to achieving this, is by ensuring the existence of an effective and efficient supply chain management in an organization. As the company grows more productive and successful, it implements operational strategies that focus on reducing waste and maximizing resource use.
