Abstract
The Nigerian government has adopted several strategies in an effort aimed at tackling the housing problems in the country. However, these efforts have yielded little result. This paper proposes a strategy which takes into consideration the cultural and socio-economic characteristics of the beneficiaris. It is hoped that adoption of this strategy will enable houses to be developed incrementally in response to households’ socio-economic endowments.
