Abstract
This paperpresentsdataontheacademicperformanceofapar- ticular setofaccountingstudentsfromtheyearofinceptionintoa Nigerian universitytotheyearofgraduation.Descriptiveanalysis wasperformedonthedatasetandaregressionmodelwhichis capable ofmakingpredictionswas fitted tothedataset.Fromthe dataset, 24outofthestudentswhostartedwitha first classresult (CGPAabove4.50)stillmaintaineda first classresultatgraduation. 4 outofthestudentswhostartedwitha first classresultdropped to secondclassupperdivisionbeforegraduation.4outofthe students whostartedwithasecondclassupperdivisionresult movedto first classresultbeforegraduation.28outof35students who startedwithasecondclassupperdivisionmaintaineda second class upper division result at graduation
