Abstract

Traditionalmethodsofteachingentrepreneurshipinuniversities involvesmoretheoreticalapproacheswhicharelesseffectivein motivatingconsiderationsforanentrepreneurshipcareer.This owestothefactthatsuchtechniquesessentiallymakestudents develop adormantattituderatherthanactiveparticipation.Expert viewssuggestthatexperientialentrepreneurshipteachingmeth- ods inuniversitieswhichinvolvepracticalactivitiesandactive participation canbeconsideredsalienttostudents’ development of entrepreneurialinterestanbusinessstartuppotentials.This present studypresentsdataontheextenttowhichexperiential teaching methodsinentrepreneurshipadoptedbyNigerianuni- versities stimulatestudents’ entrepreneurialinterestandbusiness startups. Datahavebeengatheredfollowingadescriptivecross- sectional quantitativesurveyconductedamonguniversitystudents (N ¼ 600)offourselectedinstitutionsinNigeriaofferingadegree programmeinentrepreneurship.HierarchicalMultipleRegression Analysiswasusedinconfirming thehypothesisproposedinthe study usingtheStatisticalPackageforSocialSciences(SPSS)ver- sion 22.The findings fromtheanalysisshowedthattheadoptionof experientialpracticalactivitiesconsideredasbestpracticesin entrepreneurshipteachinginNigerianuniversitiescanstimulate
