Abstract

The study showed that the noise pollution levels measured at some locations in Ota exceeded the standards and limits set by the World Health Organization (WHO), Federal Environment Protection Agency (FEPA). Results revealed that there was a considerable increase in noise pollution in Oju-ore and Toll-gate due to high numbers of vehicular movement and road congestion within Ota. The study therefore concluded that there should be an enforcement and adherence to the regulation regarding noise pollution limit.
