Abstract
Tenvironment. The study also looked at the effect of internet banking on the banker/customer relationship. It examined the general international experience on the study and thereafter examined the challenges facing the implementation of internet banking. A total of 120 questionnaires were administered and each of the three (3) selected banks (Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Ecobank Plc, and United Bank of Africa Plc, all in Ota, Ogun State) was allocated 40 questionnaires. The questionnaires were analyzed using the statistical package for social science (SPSS). The study found out that Internet banking improves banker/customer relationship and Internet banking poses problems, issues and challenges faced by Nigerian banks. The study thus recommended amongst others that banks should take steps in improving their communicating quality to ensure the right information is passed around.
