Abstract
In an attempt to solve the housing inadequacy in the country successive Nigerian governments have embarked in different mass housing programmes. However, these programmes have often not taken into consideration the peculiar needs of women. This paper identifies the challenges posed by this neglect and advocates for an approach to housing development which integrates the needs of women.
