Abstract
Road Research Institute, (NBRRI) has been in the vanguard of research into alternative building materials in Nigeria. This paper reports on the current research and development effort of the Institute on the stabilized earth brick. Feedback results necessitated follow up action which include: redesign of the brick making machine to improve efficiency; increase in production output; improvement of quality of bricks; alternative to cement.
