Abstract
The datasetforthisarticlecontainsgeostatisticalanalysisofthe level towhichgroundwaterqualityaroundamunicipalwaste dumpsite locatedinOke-Afa,Oshodi/IsoloareaofLagosstate, southwesternhasbeencompromisedfordrinking.Groundwater samples werecollectedfromeighthand-dugwellsandtwobore- hole wellsaroundornearthedumpsite.ThepH,turbidity,salinity, conductivity,totalhydrocarbon,totaldissolvedsolids(TDS),dis- solvedoxygen,chloride,Sulphate(SO4), Nitrate(NO3) andPhos- phate (PO4) weredeterminedforthewatersamplesandcompared with WorldHealthOrganization(WHO)drinkingwaterstandard. Notably,theturbidity,TDS,chlorideandconductivityofsomeof the sampleswereabovetheWHOacceptablelimits.Also,high quantitiesofheavymetalssuchasAluminumandBariumwere also presentasshownfromthedata.Thedatasetcanprovide insights intothehealthimplicationsofthecontaminantsespe- cially whenthemeanconcentrationlevelsofthecontaminantsare abovetherecommendedWHOdrinkingwaterstandard
